To come together as parents, teachers and children and partner with each other
to build a life-long learning community,
where we are each encouraged to realise our highest potential and be the best we can be,
in an environment diverse, connected and whole,
that inspires us to
learn collaboratively with and from and each other and the world around,
taking active, responsible and joyous ownership of our lives and legacies,
facing challenges with imagination and integrity
and pursuing excellence with passion, purpose and persistence
PHILOSOPHY AND IDENTITY
VOICE of the Hansa
Etymologically derived from the two primordial Sanskrit sounds–Aham (I am) and Sah (That), which when brought together mean ‘I am That’, the very existence of the ‘hansa’ or flying geese is a resounding echo of the Advaita philosophical belief that we are each fundamentally inter-connected and part of a greater unified whole.
THE AHAM-SAH DIFFERENCE
Creatively and thoughtfully planned by our team, ‘The Aham–Sah Difference’ includes an ever-growing list of distinctive enrichment initiatives that incorporate the crucial values, habits and skills of mind, body and soul that enable children to develop and experience an overall sense of well-being, holism and balance.
The Language of Rituals
The Language of Well-being
The Language of Experience
…
THE POWER OF THE AHAM–SAH WAY
Inspired by the VOICE of the hansa, a distinctive pattern to life at NiBS is that children learn not in isolation, but as part of a loving and vibrant community where they each experience a deep sense of well-being and purpose as a result of their inter-connectedness with others and the world around.
The power of individual attention
The power of learning together
…
SPACES THAT SPEAK
Growing magically like a shady Kalpavriksha since the time it was first planted – flowering a pristine white, while at the same time turning a sustainable and healthy green, the NiBS building is a lively, buzzing and fertile home for our children. With its thoughtfully designed bricks and branches beckoning teachers, children and parents to burrow tunnels of discovery or reflect in caves of ponder and pause, it is truly space that speaks the VOICE of the hansa.
“Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself.”
