The IDEAS Convention 2026, a flagship initiative of the Senior School Programme at NiBS, brought together two days of meaningful conversations, exploration, and reflection on 6 and 7 August 2026. True to its spirit of Inspiring Dreams of Excellence, Achievement, and Service, the convention provided students with opportunities to engage with accomplished professionals, experts, alumni, and leading universities while exploring diverse academic and career pathways. Day 1 encouraged students to look at the world with attention, empathy, and wonder, with Dr. Arunabha Ghosh highlighting the importance of responsible citizenship, public policy, and climate action, Dr. Garima Bhatia reflecting on the connection between passion, purpose, and happiness; and Mr. Yash Sharma and Mr. Prashant Onkar Kumar offering insights into building holistic profiles, recognising individual strengths, and translating interests into meaningful career pathways. The University Fair further enabled students and parents to engage directly with institutions and make informed choices about higher education. Day 2 extended the conversation beyond careers to the values and qualities that shape a purposeful life. Mr. Ritangshu Bhattacharya emphasised responsible communication and accountability in an information-rich world, while Mr. Hemant Kumar highlighted discipline, resilience, and mental strength as foundations for personal growth. Ms. Pallavi Luharuka encouraged students to remain curious, persevere through challenges, and have faith in their ideas and abilities. Adding a deeply personal dimension, NiBS alumni Tanuj, Rahul, Punya, Easwar, and Sofi shared reflections from their own journeys, emphasising self-awareness, self-belief, and the importance of nurturing these qualities in others. Across the two days, IDEAS 2026 encouraged students not simply to think about what they might become, but to consider how they wish to learn, contribute, and live with curiosity, courage, responsibility, and purpose.
