Avi Bhardwaj of Class VII qualified for the CBSE National Science Exhibition 2019 after winning in the regional rounds. His project titled ‘Afforestation with Clayboxx and Mycorrhizal Fungi’ was displayed under the category of Resource Management at the national exhibition held at the Suncity School, Gurgaon in the month of January 2020. The ‘Clayboxx’ is a specially designed clay pot which prevents loss of water via evaporation. Water is supplied through drip irrigation. Mycorrhizal fungi help in the nutritional requirement of the plant in a symbiotic relationship. This model is economical, biodegradable and helps the plant to survive in extreme climatic conditions. Congratulations, Avi!
