Diving deep into the interdisciplinary waters
of projects, themes and challenges

Once children learn to work together, it becomes easy for them to use their combined strengths to actually address and resolve issues of real-world significance. They become better able to make things happen. Deeper Learning methods enable them to bring together diverse perspectives in addition to the purely disciplinary, for e.g. the feasible, logistical, political, cultural, artistic and comparative, as they attempt to address life challenges that have no easy answers – for example, global warming or the saving of endangered species.

Practiced at NiBS in a variety of ways – Project Based Learning (PBL), Thematic Enquiry, Practice Based Research, Design Thinking challenges and Immersive Study Visits, they each encourage children to transcend narrow theoretical boundaries and take a deep dive into the rich, complex and authentic waters of life.
